The Citroën 2CV Database shall become a collecting point for information of all kind about the 2CV, his sisters (the derivatives) and his big brother (the H-Van aka HY).

Because of me maintaining this server besides my studies, it grows only slowly. At the moment it contains the new versions of nearly all Citroën related pages, which were formerly located on my home page. There are enough ideas, but insufficient time...

BTW: DeuxChevaux.org uses a Apache Server (at the moment Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) Embperl/2.2.0 DAV/2 SVN/1.5.1 PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny9 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0) and works a lot with Server Side Includes (SSI) for having dynamic pages without the loss of compatibility to older browsers.

By using content negotiation DeuxChevaux.org also guarantees the backward compatibility of the used icons and selects the initial language for a user when he surfs in. Photographs are offered in JPEG format, graphics most times in PNG format and additionally in JPEG format for backwards compatibility. There are no GIFs on this website.
